Senator Peters pushes for human trafficking training for health care professionals.
“About 80 percent of human trafficking victims included in a study had seen a health care provider during the time of their victimization, said Dr. Alan Janssen, director of the Emergency Medicine Residency Program at Genesys Regional Medical Center.”
“One of the primary goals of the court is to increase awareness so that exploited individuals will be identified and treated as victims as opposed to criminals.”
